About Rahul

I'm a second-year Medical student at the University of Aberdeen, originally from Derry, with a strong academic background — including an A* in Maths and A grades in Chemistry and Biology at A-Level. I've always loved Maths and the Sciences, and tutoring lets me share that enthusiasm while helping students build the skills and confidence they need to succeed.
I began tutoring GCSE and A-Level students in September 2025, and I quickly found it incredibly rewarding to watch a student go from confused to confident on a topic they were once dreading. Studying Medicine has given me a strong grasp of complex scientific and mathematical concepts, as well as the discipline and communication skills needed to explain them clearly.
I'm patient, friendly, and genuinely invested in every student's progress. My goal is to make every lesson feel productive and pressure-free, so students leave each session having learned something real — not just memorised it.

About the lesson

I'm Rahul, a second-year Medical student at the University of Aberdeen, and I've been tutoring GCSE and A-Level Maths and Sciences since September 2025.
My lessons are tailored to each student's needs. I start by identifying gaps in understanding, then work through them step by step using a structured but relaxed approach. I make extensive use of past papers and exam-style questions to build confidence and exam technique, and I use an iPad and Apple Pencil to explain concepts visually and interactively — whether that's sketching a graph, annotating a diagram, or working through a multi-step problem in real time.
I teach GCSE and A-Level students across Maths, Biology and Chemistry and I'm comfortable working with all exam boards.
Having sat these exams myself not long ago, I understand exactly what's required to succeed, and I bring patience, warmth, and encouragement to every session. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, because that's how real progress happens — whether you're building foundational understanding or aiming for the top grade.
