About Mohammed

I am a medical student, studying at the University of Sunderland. This makes me a good candidate to teach science subjects and also help with UCAT for students that require help in this field. While I specialise in delivering science content aligned with the AQA examination board, I am adaptable and open to teaching other curricula as needed. My ultimate goal is to foster a positive and productive learning environment where students can excel in science.

About the lesson

As a science educator, my teaching style is a blend of student-centred and inquiry-based learning. I strive to create an inclusive and engaging classroom environment where students are encouraged to actively participate in scientific exploration and take ownership of their learning. To address each student's unique needs, I tailor my approach by conducting quizzes in every lesson. These quizzes are designed to assess their understanding of key scientific concepts, allowing me to pinpoint strengths and areas that require further development. One of my most rewarding experiences was tutoring a specific student within my school who was struggling with science, particularly in preparation for their AQA exams. Through personalised instruction, hands-on experiments, and continuous support, I guided this student to achieve their desired grade. This experience significantly enhanced my ability to adjust lessons to individual learning styles, ensuring not only academic success but also a deeper appreciation for the subject. I place great importance on formative assessment to guide my teaching. By providing timely feedback on lab work, quizzes, and assignments, I help students improve their scientific reasoning and problem-solving skills, ensuring they are supported throughout their learning journey.
