About Sam
I'm a current medical student at the U of MN and love to tutor/mentor other students in the sciences. My background includes working as a peer tutor for my college, as well as mentoring and leading several student organizations. We also do a great deal of peer tutoring or collaborative learning as medical students which helps me connect with others to solve difficult problems. My greatest strength is identifying core, translatable concepts from general coursework to increase knowledge retention and performance on standardized exams (ACS, MCAT, GMAT, etc.).

I take a practical approach to teaching core concepts so students can pass upcoming assignments or exams. I prefer that students bring a few practice problems to their lesson. Otherwise, I'll try to find example problems that fit the lesson. You can count on applying collaborative knowledge to work through problems in real time. This approach has helped me the most when preparing for standardized ACS chemistry exams, MCAT, and GMAT (for business school).
