About Deepansha
I am an aspiring neurosurgeon currently in my 3rd year of medical school at HYMS. I was born in India and brought up in Abu Dhabi and moved to the UK for medicine. I have developed an interest in teaching over the last few years since I’ve seen how the pandemic has impacted students. I believe making academics fun and easy is essential for students of any age. Being in a degree that requires me to understand and retain information in bulk, think critically and be a problem solver has helped me develop teaching strategies that are quick, easy and effective. I focus on establishing good rapport with my students and making sure their foundational concepts are clear.

My teaching sessions are designed to be tailored to each students needs and learning styles. They encourage active participation and provide feedback on progress. I think the use of visual aids (diagrams, media, etc.) can make concepts easy to grasp.I also think building of foundational concepts is essential. Sessions can range from 30 mins to an hour. I have tutored GCSE and A level students during my gap year and have been involved in multiple interactive game based teaching activities in medical school. I teach biology up to A levels and maths, chemistry, physics up to GCSE.
