About Lisande

I am currently a Final year medical student, with background in banking and tutoring full-time. I have a degree in Business and Quantitative Management, which covers mathematics as one of my majors, as well as a 1st class BSc Applied Medical Science. I have been tutoring maths for 10 years mainly to GCSE, A-level and IB students, but happy to teach any age, level and ability.

About the lesson

I approach topics by doing a broad recap on what the student has covered previously and then honing in on any weak areas.

Lisande tutored my daughter Raiya for Algebra 1 in her freshman year of High School. My daughter has moderate dyscalculia (math dyslexia) and Lisande did a great job breaking down the problems and explaining things in a way she could understand. My daughter loved working with Lisande. Lisande is very organized and extremely professional. My daughter’s hardest subject used to be Math, but since working with Lisande Math is no longer scary. She got an A in Algebra 1 and is now taking Algebra 2 without tutoring and getting a B. I would highly recommend her for tutoring.

She gave my teenage son help with Maths, she was firm but kind, she encouraged him, helped his confidence massively, he went from getting D’s to A’s in a matter of weeks and he ended up getting an A in his IGCSE maths. Lisande is a lovely, warm-hearted, compassionate person who is extremely conscientious about getting the best out of her students.
