My name is Emma and I am a medical student and alumna of the University of Miami. I enjoy reading, spending time with friends, and finding good coffee shops. I have grown up tutoring and love getting to help those with similar academic goals!

I approach tutoring with a focus on clarity, efficiency, and active learning. As a medical student, I’ve learned how to break down complex concepts into high-yield, understandable frameworks, and I bring that same strategy to my teaching. I prioritize making sure students don’t just memorize material, but truly understand it and can apply it.
My teaching method is interactive and tailored to each student. I use techniques like step-by-step reasoning, clinical correlations, and pattern recognition to reinforce learning. I often incorporate practice questions, quick recall drills, and visual summaries (charts, tables, and one-pagers) to help students retain information and think critically under pressure.
A typical session starts with identifying the student’s goals and weak areas, followed by a focused review of key concepts. We then work through practice questions together, emphasizing test-taking strategies and how to approach questions efficiently. I always end sessions with a quick summary of high-yield takeaways and a plan for continued improvement.
What sets me apart is my ability to teach from a test-focused and real-world perspective. I’ve recently gone through the same exams and understand exactly what is high-yield versus low-yield. I also emphasize building confidence, helping students feel prepared and less overwhelmed.
