About Harriet
I am currently in my second year of Medical School and looking to take the experience I have had tutoring GCSE students whilst I was at Sixth Form as well as from tutoring my younger sister who is about to take her own GCSE exams. I achieved a 9 in GCSEs maths and also took Maths and Further Maths (alongside Biology and Chemistry) at A level, so I am very passionate about maths and am keen to make it more accessible to students so they can get the same satisfaction out of it as I do! I also have experience mentoring and teaching teenagers through my experience as a NCO for the Royal Air Force Cadets, from which I have gained qualifications from courses such as the MOI (Method of Instruction).

Maths is one of the subjects that you can't just learn by having a good memory, it is a skill and needs to be understood; that being said once you understand a mathematical concept, it will be there to use whenever you need! I aim to work on-on-one with a student to find a way to answer their papers with very little stress by simplifying maths into bitesize chunks. The goal is to make sure that the student understands maths well enough that when it comes to their exams all the revision they need to do is a few questions so they can confirm they can do it and have the confidence to walk into the exam and perform to the best of their ability.
