About Hankin

Hi, I'm Jodie, a Registered Mental Health Nurse with over seven years of experience practicing in both the UK and Australia. After graduating from Liverpool John Moores University in 2019, I've worked across a wide variety of acute and complex mental health settings, including psychiatric intensive care, inpatient wards, crisis services and travel nursing contracts throughout Australia. Working in diverse multidisciplinary teams has given me experience caring for people with complex presentations while adapting to different healthcare systems, policies and ways of working.
I know first-hand that nursing isn't just about passing exams—it's about developing the confidence, critical thinking and communication skills needed to provide safe, compassionate care. My aim is to bridge the gap between university learning and real clinical practice by helping students understand not only what they need to know, but why it matters.
