About Vanessa
Hi! I'm a Texas-certified middle school math teacher with 9 years of experience working in public school districts and currently in my second year as a classroom teacher. I specialize in middle school math and Algebra 1, and I love helping students build both skill and confidence in math. My teaching philosophy is simple: help students discover their love of math and have fun while doing it. I believe that when students feel supported and enjoy the learning process, real growth happens—academically and personally. I'm patient, encouraging, and committed to meeting students where they are. I also offer bilingual support with Spanish translation to help bridge communication and make lessons accessible to all learners. As a mother of two, I understand how important it is for kids to feel heard, understood, and empowered. My goal is to make math a subject your child not only understands, but also enjoys.
