About Margo
I am a 24-year-old non-binary person with ADHD. I know what it's like to not be understood, especially within the education system. Raised female, I experienced sexism and the neurotypical expectations to learn and understand materials just like everyone else. If you have similar experiences, I am HERE for you and here to help you feel encouraged that you too can succeed at your own pace and in your own way. Alternative learning is incredibly beautiful and powerful, and I have always been passionate about helping people express themselves and explore their interests in ways that make sense for them. I am also here for those who don't have a similar experience as me, and I hope to continue to expand my experiences with all kinds of people and ways of learning.

The assignments and clear needs of the student, given by a class or a personal goal, for example, will provide the groundwork structure for our lessons. I want to be able to cater to their strengths and weaknesses to find a lesson plan that works for them in particular. Everyone learns and absorbs information differently, so I don't believe there is a one-size-fits-all tutoring plan!
My goal is to show them how interesting and useful it is to fine-tune the English language—I will look for materials that highlight their preexisting interests, and remain open to their recommendations if they have any, so they can see how their improvement in English over time allows them to learn more about their interests and express themselves in ways that feel authentic to them!
Given my experience in college-level English and literature, I can help adults with higher-level papers and all ages with reading comprehension and literary analysis. I have experience with different forms of poetry and a huge interest in theatre works, plays, and Shakespeare. I have some experience in Philosophy readings and writing, so that is also within my breadth. I have a B.A. in Molecular Biology, so I can also help with scientific reading and comprehension as well.
