About Stephanie

My name is Stephanie and I have been giving private tutoring lessons (online and offline) for over a decade!

I have taught students as young as 5, and as old as 73 years old! I have also been teaching High School Preparation and working in classrooms where there are over 18 students. I enjoy seeing my students build confidence in their subject area and work on all skillsets of language: speaking, listening, reading, writing.

About the lesson

I see teaching as involving a reciprocal relationship between teachers and students - I believe that teachers have duties to their students and that students, likewise, have duties to their teachers.

I believe that it is my responsibility as a teacher to provide students with the following:
• an environment conducive to learning,
• knowledge that will help them be successful in achieving their lives' goals,
• materials, opportunities, and feedback that will help them learn, and
• help in becoming and remaining motivated to be successful both in their studies and in applying their knowledge to solve problems in their daily lives.

I also believe that my students have duties to me, to their fellow students, and to themselves. I believe that these duties support me in fulfilling my duties to students. Thus, I believe that it is the students' responsibility to be supportive of the teacher and fellow students by being:
• tolerant of different points of view,
• prepared for class,
• willing to work hard to complete course activities,
• willing to bring their life experiences into the class to enrich discussions, and giving their very best.

Teaching is an occupation that is deeply rewarding; it is priceless to watch the students excel and grow into wonderful well-adjusted adults with a keen appreciation for the world around them. I hope that all my students tap onto their full potential and appreciate passionate living and learning to a greater capacity. They are our future generation and they have it in then to participate in active pursuits and explore their environment with curiosity and full engagement. My motto is: with passion and purpose!
