About Emily
I am currently a student at Concordia University in the faculty of Art Education. I completed several years of Physics and Mathematics at the University of Manitoba before venturing into the world of Environmental Activism. I tutored Mathematics and Physics at Red River College in Winnipeg. I taught children from Kindergarten to Grade 12 general Sciences in Manitoba while attending University.

I teach by relating Mathematical concepts to physical reality so it is easier to grasp the concept initially. I teach the method of understanding a mathematical concept logically instead of relying on memorization. A typical class would include understanding the basics of where the student is not grasping a concept. I use visual representations of the problem as well as vocal and written explanations. I make an effort to relate to students as best I can on a personal level so that they feel more comfortable. If they feel comfortable, then it is easier to gain their focus and appreciation for what they are learning. My classes would be for High school level English, Math, and Physics, and first year University/College for English and Physics.
