About Nami

Hi! My name is Nami, and I'm a dedicated Honors and AP student with a 4.7 GPA at Greenwich High School. I've always enjoyed learning and helping others succeed, which naturally led me to tutoring. I have experience working with elementary, middle school, and high school students in Math, English, Reading & Writing, SAT preparation, French, and beginner piano. I've also spent years mentoring my younger sister and tutoring classmates, helping them build confidence and improve their understanding of challenging subjects.
Outside of academics, I'm actively involved in theater, which has strengthened my communication, patience, and leadership skills. I believe every student can succeed with the right support, encouragement, and learning approach. My goal is to make lessons engaging, personalized, and enjoyable while helping students become confident, independent learners who achieve their academic goals.

About the lesson

As a tutor, my goal is to help students build confidence, understand concepts deeply, and develop strong study habits rather than simply memorizing answers. Every lesson is personalized to each student's learning style and pace. I explain concepts step by step, provide plenty of practice, and encourage questions in a supportive environment.
A typical lesson includes reviewing previous material, learning a new topic through clear explanations and examples, practicing together, and ending with a short review to reinforce understanding.
I tutor elementary, middle school, and high school students in Math, English, Reading & Writing, SAT preparation, French, and beginner piano. As a 4.7 GPA Honors and AP student, I understand what it takes to succeed academically and enjoy helping students reach their goals. My experience tutoring younger students and classmates has taught me how to make learning engaging, patient, and encouraging while helping students become more independent and confident learners.
