About Reagan
I am a dedicated Violin tutor with 5 years of experience, having successfully trained around 150 students from beginner to advanced levels. My teaching approach focuses on building strong fundamentals while encouraging creativity and confidence. I begin by strengthening posture, bow control, finger accuracy, tone clarity, and rhythm precision to ensure students develop a solid technical base.
As they grow more comfortable, I gradually introduce scales, shifting techniques, expressive phrasing, and performance preparation. I personalise every lesson according to the student’s pace and musical goals, ensuring steady progress without pressure.
I also provide structured home practice strategies to help students improve consistently. My unique strength lies in my patient and motivating teaching style, which helps learners overcome challenges and stay committed. My aim is to develop confident, disciplined, and expressive violinists who truly enjoy their musical journey.

My violin teaching approach is built on clear communication, patience, and adapting to each student’s learning style. I believe that every student has different strengths, so I observe carefully and adjust my lessons to match their pace and understanding level. I focus on building a strong technical foundation by training posture, bow hold, finger accuracy, tone quality, rhythm control, and intonation.
Once the basics are stable, I gradually introduce advanced techniques like vibrato, shifting, dynamic control, and expressive phrasing. Along with violin performance, I teach music theory, scales and arpeggios, sight reading, ear training, harmony basics, and music appreciation.
I use real-life examples such as preparing for recitals, competitions, orchestra rehearsals, and graded exams to show how classroom learning connects to stage performance. I also guide students in creating effective practice schedules. My goal is to develop confident, disciplined, and expressive violinists.
