About Jess

I want to teach because I genuinely love seeing others grow in confidence and succeed. Throughout my own education and professional training, I was fortunate to have teachers who believed in me, challenged me, and helped me develop my voice. Their support made a lasting difference in my life. I would love to pass that same encouragement and guidance on to others — helping students discover their abilities, overcome obstacles, and feel proud of their progress.

About the lesson

My lessons are supportive, structured, and focused on building genuine confidence. I am a native British English speaker with a clear RP (Received Pronunciation) accent and a Certificate of Higher Education in Performance Acting from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts — one of the UK’s most competitive and respected drama schools. I also attended an independent British school, giving me first-hand understanding of the UK education system and its academic expectations.

My training gives me a strong foundation in voice, articulation, and expressive communication, which I bring directly into my teaching. I use a communicative, student-centred approach, with active speaking practice in every lesson. Grammar is explained clearly and in context, writing is developed through structured guidance, and pronunciation work draws on professional voice techniques to improve clarity, rhythm, and confidence. Corrections are constructive and practical, helping students understand how to improve long-term.

Lessons are typically 50–60 minutes and tailored to individual goals, whether that’s fluency, writing support, grammar development, accent coaching, interview preparation, or UK school entrance preparation.

I work with teenagers preparing for British school entry, international students navigating the UK system, adults improving fluency, professionals developing presentation skills, and actors preparing for English-language auditions. My aim is always to help you communicate clearly, confidently, and naturally in English.
