About Naomi
I am a Chemistry tutor with over 4 years of experience and a BA in Chemistry. I specialise in guiding students who are exploring Polymer Chemistry and Materials Synthesis. My teaching focuses on understanding polymerisation mechanisms, material properties, and the applications of plastics, rubbers, and composites. I help students connect chemical structure to macroscopic material behaviour, showing how molecular arrangements determine strength, flexibility, and functionality. We dive into real-world examples to see how polymers are used in everyday life and advanced technologies. My sessions balance theory with practical insights, making complex ideas easier to grasp. I encourage critical thinking and problem-solving, helping students link concepts to experimental observations. Assignments and discussions are designed to reinforce understanding and build confidence. Together, we explore how new materials are designed and optimised for specific purposes. My goal is to support students in mastering material chemistry while inspiring creativity and curiosity. Learning becomes interactive, insightful, and relevant to real-world applications. My teaching approach in Chemistry is nurturing, personalised, and focused on developing conscious chemical thinking. I cover core topics like Organic, Inorganic, Physical, and Analytical Chemistry, while also exploring Environmental Chemistry, Pollution Remediation, Green Chemistry Principles, and Sustainable Processes. I encourage students to see the real-world impact of chemistry on our planet. Each session is tailored to individual learning needs, combining clear explanations with practical examples. I focus on connecting theory with practice, helping students understand how chemical principles apply to sustainability and environmental protection. We explore chemical reactions, processes, and innovations that contribute to a healthier world. I guide students through problem-solving, experiments, and critical thinking exercises that strengthen understanding. Assignments and discussions are designed to celebrate curiosity and spark engagement. I also help students appreciate chemistry’s role in areas like wildlife conservation and medical technology. Together, we develop analytical skills, eco-conscious reasoning, and confidence in exams and research tasks. Learning becomes interactive, thoughtful, and meaningful. My goal is to support students in excelling while fostering a deeper appreciation for chemistry’s role in creating a sustainable future.
