About Riya
I hold an MSc in Organic Chemistry and have over four years of experience as a passionate and committed Chemistry tutor. My teaching approach in Chemistry is rooted in helping students truly *see* the subject come alive. I use active visualisation techniques to make complex ideas easier to understand. Whether it’s atomic structure, chemical bonding, or molecular geometry, I guide students with diagrams, animations, and interactive tools. These methods turn abstract topics into clear, engaging concepts. I place strong focus on building a solid foundation in topics like periodic table trends, electron configurations, hybridisation, and molecular shapes. Once students grasp these, they can tackle more advanced areas like thermodynamics, kinetics, equilibrium, and acid-base chemistry with confidence. I support students with consistent encouragement, structured explanations, and personalised feedback. My goal is to make Chemistry feel less like memorising and more like understanding how the world works. I work especially well with aspiring doctors and nature enthusiasts, helping them connect chemistry to life sciences and the environment. Students not only prepare for exams and assignments but also grow a deeper curiosity for the subject.
