About Colette
I’ve been teaching mathematics for 10 years and still find joy in helping students see the beauty in every formula. My teaching blends patience, structure, and relatable examples. I believe in understanding first, practice second. Once learners grasp the “why,” everything else flows naturally. I also draw links between maths and real-world contexts—how it supports coding, economics, and engineering. This interdisciplinary view keeps learning alive and useful. To me, mathematics is clarity made visible. My goal is to help students replace fear with fascination and approach every problem with calm, logical confidence.

My maths lessons focus on clarity and understanding. I begin each session by breaking complex topics into intuitive stories—why a concept exists and how it connects to the real world. This connection transforms learning from memorisation to discovery. I emphasise visual understanding and logical flow through structured examples, proofs, and problem-solving drills. Learners develop not just accuracy but genuine confidence in tackling any equation. By the end, students see maths not as numbers and symbols but as a universal language for expressing logic, balance, and creativity.
