About Riya
Hello! I'm a Biomedical Science graduate and current Physician Associate student with a passion for education and helping students succeed. I specialise in tutoring GCSE and 11+ students in Science, English, and Maths, while also supporting KS2 and KS3 learners. Having been through the same challenges students face now, I truly understand the pressures of exams and schoolwork. This experience allows me to connect with students, empathise with their struggles, and provide tailored support to help them overcome obstacles confidently. With several years of tutoring experience, I understand that every student learns differently. I create a calm, supportive, and structured learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing in confidence. I am reliable, patient, and fully committed to helping my students reach their academic goals. I take a student-centred approach, adapting each lesson to suit the learner’s needs, level, and preferred learning style. I use a mix of interactive explanations, exam-style questions, and visual aids to make lessons engaging and effective. I aim to build both knowledge and confidence, helping students understand the why behind the content, not just memorise it. Lessons are typically 1 hour long, but I can adjust the duration based on the student’s needs and attention span. I’m a Biomedical Science graduate and currently studying to become a Physician Associate. I have several years of experience tutoring KS2, KS3, GCSE, and 11+ students in Science, Maths, and English. I’ve worked with learners of different abilities, including those who need extra support or want to boost their grades. My lessons are ideal for those preparing for exams like GCSEs or 11+ entrance exams, as well as primary and secondary school students.
