About Nora
I am a Physics tutor with over 4 years of experience and an MPhil in Physics. My teaching takes a holistic and interdisciplinary approach, exploring how physics intersects with art and cultural heritage. I focus on the interaction of light with pigments, material analysis, and conservation science. My lessons often use real art historical examples to illustrate concepts, making physics tangible and relevant. My teaching approach in Physics is systematic and clear, focusing on building a strong understanding of energy and its applications. I break down complex macroscopic behaviours into simple, understandable steps. Topics I cover include thermodynamics, heat transfer, states of matter, gas laws, kinetic theory, and energy conservation. I also explore related areas such as calorimetry, phase changes, and the laws of motion. I combine theory with practical experiments to make learning engaging and hands-on. Using a variety of gadgets and tools, I demonstrate real-world phenomena so students can see principles in action. I guide students step by step, ensuring they grasp each concept fully before moving ahead. Assignments and exercises are designed to reinforce understanding and build confidence. Consistent feedback is a key part of my method, helping students identify strengths and areas to improve. I encourage questions and curiosity, supporting them in mastering core principles. The goal is not just to pass exams but to truly understand physics and apply it in everyday life. Learning becomes easier when it is clear, structured, and interactive.
