About Kennard
I started my career as a teacher at a Secondary School and thereafter moved into editing and translation. Eventually, I served as a Communications Manager. Subsequent to my professional teaching career I have tutored students on an informal basis, but would now like to formalize this.
I have a BA degree, a post-graduate teachers diploma, a BAdmin degree, and an Honors degree in Industrial Psychology. Recently I completed a TEFL course and a Copy editing and Proofreading diploma.

When it comes to individual tutoring I like to determine the proficiency level of the learner and the objective for seeking tuition. Once this has been determined I shall design lessons to address the objective starting from the proficiency level I have assessed.
The lessons will always be interactive and designed to offer the opportunity for understanding language principals and practicing them. I also favour the use of practical examples from everyday life to make the tutoring experience more practical rather than abstract.
Fundamentally, I am of the belief that every individual has the potential to achieve above average skills in language when provided with assistance in understanding basic concepts and applying them.
