Hi, I'm Yiya, a native Mandarin and Cantonese speaker from Guangzhou. I hold a Bachelor's in Economics from France and a Master's in International PR from the UK. I've spoken English for 25+ years (IELTS 7.0) and French for 10 years (C1).

I have lived, studied, and worked in English- and French-speaking environments for nearly 6 years. I know the common difficulties English and French speakers face when learning Chinese, such as tones, grammar, and expressions. In each lesson, I weave vocabulary and grammar into topics you're passionate about. We don't just repeat dialogues; we discuss real things that matter to you.

I use interactive games, visual associations, and real-time error correction to make learning natural and effective. I also adjust the pace dynamically, when you're engaged, we push speaking; when you need a break, we switch to listening or fun activities. This keeps you motivated and ensures you make measurable progress every single session. My 3+ years of cross-cultural communication experience also helps me anticipate where misunderstandings happen and guide you to speak not only correctly, but appropriately in any social or professional setting.

【Typical Lesson Length】
For adults, I recommend 60 minutes/lesson (1-2 lessons/week), enough time for deep conversation, grammar work, and practical exercises.
For children aged 6–12, I suggest 30 minutes/lesson (3-4 lessons/week), to maintain focus and keep the fun alive.

I hold a Master's degree from the UK (International PR) and a Bachelor's from France (Economics), both studied in English and French respectively. I'm fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, English, and French.

Beyond my academic background, I bring 3+ years of cross-cultural communication and client-facing project experience from consulting, tourism branding, and freelance education. I have over one year of dedicated online Mandarin teaching experience, currently guiding 20 regular students aged 6 to 50. My professional work in marketing, event translation, and now AI/data consulting gives me real business vocabulary and insights, perfect for learners who need Chinese for work or academics.
