About Dario

Hi, I’m Dario, a dedicated and approachable tutor specialising in Maths, French, and English. I graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering and grew up between London and Paris, which means I am not only bilingual but also bicultural. This allows me to bring both academic rigour and real-world language understanding into my lessons.

I take pride in being reliable, well-prepared, and genuinely invested in my students’ progress. My academic background has given me strong analytical and problem-solving skills, while my international upbringing helps me connect with students from different backgrounds and adapt to their learning styles.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is centred around making learning clear, engaging, and tailored to each student’s needs. I focus on building both understanding and confidence, rather than just memorisation.

Teaching methodology:
I start by identifying the student’s current level, strengths, and areas for improvement. From there, I structure lessons around clear objectives, combining explanation, guided practice, and independent exercises. For Maths, I break down problems step-by-step and focus on logic and exam techniques. For French and English, I emphasise practical usage—speaking, writing, and comprehension—while reinforcing grammar in a natural way. I also like to use real examples and interactive discussion to keep lessons engaging.

Lesson structure & length:
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, although I can adapt to 45 or 90 minutes depending on the student’s needs. Lessons usually include a quick review of previous material, introduction of new concepts, practice exercises, and a summary with key takeaways. I can also provide optional homework to reinforce learning between sessions.

Qualifications & experience:
I graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering and grew up between London and Paris, which means I am not only bilingual in English and French, but also bicultural. This allows me to bring a deeper understanding of both languages and their contexts when teaching. Alongside my academic background, I have experience mentoring and supporting students in both academic and extracurricular environments, helping me develop a structured, patient, and motivating teaching style.
