Bonjour! I'm Cal Finnegan, a passionate linguist and language enthusiast currently studying Linguistics and French at Birkbeck, University of London. With a multilingual background and extensive teaching experience, I bring a dynamic and engaging approach to language learning. As a fluent speaker of French (C1 level) and experienced English language teacher, I've developed a proven track record of helping students develop their language skills. My teaching philosophy centres on interactive and immersive learning. During my two-year role as an English Language Teaching Assistant in France, I crafted lessons that encouraged students to think and express themselves creatively in English. I specialise in designing dialogue-driven, interactive lessons that make language learning both enjoyable and effective. Beyond French and English, I have working knowledge of several other languages including Greek, Italian and Spanish (B1), and conversational Hindi/Urdu. This diverse linguistic background allows me to bring unique insights into language learning, understanding the challenges and strategies of acquiring new language skills.
