About Lance
Lance Hahn is a passionate and experienced music educator dedicated to helping students of all ages develop their musical abilities with confidence and enthusiasm. With a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Baldwin Wallace University, Lance has spent years teaching and directing music programs, from early childhood to high school. His expertise spans vocal and instrumental instruction, musical theater, choral directing, and music technology, ensuring a well-rounded and engaging learning experience. Beyond the classroom, Lance’s background as a DJ, announcer, and event coordinator highlights his ability to connect with students in a fun and dynamic way. Whether guiding beginners or refining advanced skills, he tailors lessons to each student’s unique learning style, fostering growth, creativity, and a lifelong love of music. I have extensive teaching experience, working with students from Pre-K to high school, allowing me to tailor lessons to different learning styles and skill levels.
With expertise in choral and instrumental music, I have directed choirs, taught piano lab, and conducted choral programs, equipping me to guide students in vocal and instrumental performance.
My background in musical theater and a cappella groups enables me to offer specialized coaching in performance techniques, stage presence, and audition preparation.
Strong communication and engagement skills, developed through my experience as a DJ, announcer, and camp counselor, allow me to connect with students in an enjoyable and effective way.
I have led school-wide music events, coordinated rehearsals, and directed extracurricular activities, demonstrating my leadership and organizational abilities to create structured, impactful lessons.
My experience in early childhood music education through MusicPlay and camps has helped me develop patience and creativity in engaging young learners and fostering a love for music.
With knowledge of music technology and DJing, I incorporate modern tools into lessons, making learning interactive, relevant, and engaging for students of all levels.
