About Philip
My name is Philip, I’m a musician from the North East of England with a long time love of music. While I play a number of instruments, guitar will always be my dominant area of focus. I have 17 years experience playing guitar, both in a formal education setting and also within a performance/gig setting. I have knowledge to share and love the prospect of furthering other peoples musical ability, regardless of their current level.

My tutoring approach is not to stick to a regimented syllabus, instead I want to find out exactly what level an individual is at and how far they want to progress, but most importantly what they enjoy learning. I can then use this as a basis to help people practice and learn what gives them joy, while picking up some important skills along the way.
