About Lindsay

Music is a form of self-care for many, allowing us to express our emotions in a safe way. Without music, I don't know who I'd be. I started singing at just 3 years old, but trust me, I wasn't very good. Of course, It took me many years to get to the level of professionalism that I hope to instill in my clients. Piano was my first mode of music that I learned, which allows me to now create my own songs. Not only do I know basic music theory, but I am also a recording artist. I love to sing choral pieces, as required by my music degree at the College Of Southern Nevada. Every artist is unique, and I strive to be well rounded technically and in my repertoire.

About the lesson

Hi! So, you want to be a singer, right? Great! You are in the right place. I've been teaching singing lessons on superprof for a few years and I've gotten the opportunity to grow each time I teach someone. Because of this, my methodologies and techniques are ever-changing. For starters, my clients get the experience of singing songs they like, as well as learning basic music theory and sight-singing to enable them to gain a leg-up in the professional industry. Singing is NOT just about how you sound, but also how you make someone feel. Because of this, I focus quite a bit on personality, as in being able to change the way an audience perceives the song you are singing. We also, typically, work with different genres and styles of songs. Putting yourself in a box is not the best thing to do, and I will often help my clients find songs in these genres that they actually feel motivated to sing. However, not every song is going to be your favorite. My techniques for teaching younger kids is a bit different, but I do expect for them to come prepared to sing and learn. Breaks, worksheets, and exercise are some of the ways I help my younger kids be able to gain focus. On another note, these are also accommodations I will happily make for clients who might struggle with mental illness, disabilities, or who learn by reading/writing. I am willing to hear you out and make changes as necessary to allow each client, young or not, to learn effectively! There are so many words here, but what do they mean? In short, you will learn how to professionally sing with energy and confidence. It is my understanding that practice makes permanent, so we will also work together to come up with a practice-plan, as needed. Let's get to work!

- Cancellation of service after payment package will receive a 50% refund. This is specifically due to the suggestion of paying individually at first. - Cancellation of service after no-shows or continuous tardiness/reschedules will receive a 25% refund. Due to an ongoing update of your curriculum, time to plan your sessions, and overall inconvenience, I observe the right to keep 75% of pay from a package. - Single lesson cancellations will result in full refund, so long as they are within reasonable time. - Refund requests will be processed ASAP and require a form to be filled out and reviewed.
