About Gemma
My teaching approach centers on building confidence, refining pitch accuracy, and unlocking authentic vocal expression. For The Fiddler and The Music Major, I tailor each lesson to meet your unique musical identity and technical goals. You’ll benefit from targeted breathing exercises that strengthen support and control, laying the foundation for consistent vocal tone. We focus on pitch precision through ear training apps and interval recognition drills that sharpen listening skills and tuning. Vocal health is a top priority—I guide you through warm-ups, cool-downs, and daily care routines to ensure longevity and resilience. Each session is designed to encourage expressive singing, whether you're interpreting a classical aria or delivering a pop-rock anthem. We’ll use tools like metronomes to develop rhythmic precision and recording devices to review your growth over time. This lets you hear your progress and take ownership of your sound. I create a safe, supportive space where experimentation is encouraged, and mistakes become stepping stones. You'll not only develop vocal technique but also the courage to take musical risks. Together, we'll build a confident, skilled performer ready to shine on any stage.

With over 6 years of experience and a Bachelor of Contemporary Music (Voice Major), I specialize in guiding singers toward their performance goals with confidence and skill. I work closely with students preparing for auditions, competitions, and live stage performances, offering structured support every step of the way. Whether you're a school student aiming for your first solo, a drama major preparing for conservatory entry, or an adult singer returning to your passion—I'm here to help you thrive.
I teach a wide range of vocal styles including Classical, Broadway, Pop-Rock, and Music Theater. My lessons focus on solid vocal technique, clear diction, range development, vocal agility, and expressive interpretation. I also assist with tailored repertoire selection to suit your voice, goals, and genre.
Having coached singers across various age groups and skill levels, I bring patience, energy, and a deep understanding of vocal artistry to every session. I believe that each voice is unique and deserves a personalized path to success.
