About Martin
I've been playing guitar for over 50 years. Guitar teacher, composer, music theory teacher, and recording engineer, I've pretty much covered all the basses. From jazz to rock and from blues to country, I've recorded, produced, and instructed in multiple genres.

My teaching method is designed to aid the student in developing a thorough understanding of the guitar, combined with music theory. My approach is to teach chords, and chord progressions along with the corresponding scales and arpeggios. The idea is to aid the student in composing/improvising over various types of harmonic movement. This way of teaching encourages ear training and the ability to break down any given piece of music or create from scratch.
This method can be applied at any level of proficiency from beginners to professionals.
