About PARABEL
I'm Pablo, originally from Tandil in Argentina and now based in Byron Bay. I started at the Isaias Orbe Conservatory in Tandil and kept going through music school in La Plata and Buenos Aires. I've played and recorded in Buenos Aires, Copenhagen and Australia, and I release my own music under the name PARABEL.
I've taught for 12 years, and a lot of that has been with people picking up an instrument for the first time as adults, or coming back to one they abandoned as teenagers. Both are more common than people think and neither is too late.
I teach because I like the first time someone plays a song all the way through without stopping. It usually happens sooner than they expect, and it changes how they practice from then on.
I'm patient, I don't rush anyone, and I won't make you do six weeks of exercises before you get to play something you actually like.

I'm Pablo, a musician and teacher with 12 years of experience. I play piano, guitar, bass and synthesisers, and I write and produce my own music. These particular lessons are aimed at beginners and I keep them that way on purpose: taking someone from nothing to playing actual songs is a specific job and it's the part I enjoy most.
Lessons run 60 minutes and we work on real music from the first one. Bring a song you'd like to be able to play. We find the version of it you can manage today, and we make it harder as your hands catch up.
On guitar we cover open chords, changing between them without stopping, strumming patterns that sound like the record rather than like an exercise, and power chords and barre chords once you're ready. On bass we start with roots and timing, then feel, then playing along with a click or a drummer and holding it steady.
You don't need to read music. I'll teach you chord charts and tab, which is what you'll actually use, and I'll explain what the chords are doing while we play them so it stops being memorisation.
If you already play guitar or bass at an intermediate or advanced level, my music theory and production listings will serve you better than this one.

Patient, clear and didactic. He adapts the lesson to your pace and musical taste. The best!
I started piano lessons with Parabel about 2-3 months ago, and it's been a great experience from day one. Parabel is super patient, dedicated, and explains everything really clearly, always adapting to my pace. I've already noticed real progress, and I'd highly recommend Parabel to anyone looking for a great piano teacher.
I already had some music knowledge before starting lessons with Parabel, but he helped me consolidate and expand it in ways I didn’t expect. I am always amazed by his knowledge as a musician and instrumentalist, and also he's a genius when it comes to music production.
Besides being an excellent teacher, he’s also an active musician who is constantly creating and being involved in different projects, which brings a lot of real world experience to my lessons.
I really appreciate his flexibility and ability to adapt each class to what I need at the time. His teaching style is very dynamic and never feels repetitive.
I couldn’t recommend him highly enough, he’s an absolute legend.I met Parabel through mutual friends and he is just an absolute top bloke and one of those teachers you can tell genuinely likes teaching.
One of my favourite things about learning with him is that I actually saw him playing live with his band before I knew he was a teacher. I was blown away by his level as a musician and then finding out he was a piano teacher and eventually starting to learn with him was pretty crazy.
I recommend him because you can tell he has so many tools and such a huge amount of knowledge about music that he adapts the lessons depending on what actually moves you and what you’re interested in musicallyView more recommendations
