About Allyson
I have 5 years of teaching in an impromtu setting. I have a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice and have the skill set to propell students to become overachievers. My teaching style consists of a Demonstrator appraoch where I will coach a student on a certain concept and have them practice on it repeatedly until they have better knowledge of it. I will utilize practice exams in every session to determine on what level of progress the student is making. This will allow me the opportunity to either give more thorough teaching specific concepts or if a student is understanding the concept ask them a variety of questions to determine if we need to move to the next concept in a subject matter.

would love for students to boo a trial lesson with me. In my first lesson, I will consult with the student to understand what their problem areas in a subject and discuss any issues they currently have. I will decipher if the student is a visual or abstract learner so I can create tutoring lessons that ae catered to their learning needs. I reevaluate student's learning skills in each lesson to determine if they are making progress and if we need to focus more on a specific concept more. I will create flashcards, practice exams, quizzes, and even writing prompts to help students to become more proficient in a subject matter. Every student is different and there might be an instant where a student might not understand a particular concept. I will break down the concept in a way that the student is better understanding and becomes more knowledgeable about. My goal is to help students enhance their academic performance within the classroom.
