About Ansel
I am a passionate debater and public speaker with experience competing at national and international levels. I have taken part in prestigious competitions including Cambridge Schools’ Debating and the ESU Churchill Public Speaking Competition, consistently reaching advanced stages of the competitions I have entered.
Alongside debating, I have trained in acting and vocal performance at the Royal Academy of Music, which has given me a strong understanding of voice, presence and communication. I also have experience mentoring younger students through my school debating society of over 300 members, helping them develop confidence, argumentation skills and a passion for public speaking.
Outside of debating, I have a strong interest in philosophy, politics and exploring how ideas shape the world — interests that I bring into lessons to encourage curiosity, independent thinking and thoughtful discussion.

My lessons focus on developing confident, persuasive and effective communication skills. Whether a student wants to improve their debating ability, prepare for competitions, become a stronger speaker or simply gain confidence expressing their ideas, lessons are tailored to their individual goals.
Sessions cover areas such as argument structure, critical thinking, rebuttal, persuasive speaking, delivery, body language and thinking under pressure. Drawing on techniques from competitive debating, acting and vocal training, I help students understand not only what to say, but how to communicate ideas with clarity and impact.
Lessons are available for students aged 11–16, online or in London.
