About Nicolene
Hello! My name is Nicolene, and I am a native Afrikaans speaker from Cape Town, South Africa. Although I am not a formally qualified teacher, I am passionate about helping others learn Afrikaans in a supportive, patient, and encouraging environment.
I understand that every student learns differently, which is why I adapt my lessons to suit each individual learner’s needs, pace, and goals. My teaching style is relaxed, friendly, and focused on building confidence through practical conversation, pronunciation, vocabulary, and everyday Afrikaans.
I teach in both English and Afrikaans and enjoy working with children, teenagers, adults, beginners, and anyone wanting to improve their Afrikaans skills. My aim is to make every lesson enjoyable, comfortable, and motivating so that students feel confident and excited to learn.

Hello! My name is Nicolene, and I am a native Afrikaans speaker from Cape Town, South Africa. I offer friendly, patient, and supportive Afrikaans lessons for children, teenagers, and adults who want to improve their speaking, pronunciation, reading, and confidence in Afrikaans.
My teaching style is relaxed, encouraging, and adapted to each student’s learning pace and goals. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable and motivated, so I create a positive environment where mistakes are part of the learning journey.
I can teach in both English and Afrikaans, which is especially helpful for beginners who are learning Afrikaans as a second language. My lessons focus on practical, everyday Afrikaans and real conversations that students can use in daily life, school, travel, or work situations.
