About Kristan
As I have mentioned, I have had to learn a third language much later than one would typically expect of someone to learn a new language - I do, therefore, know exactly what works and what does not. I completed schooling in both English and Afrikaans, on home language level, and studied basic German at university level in 2021 and 2022. Additionally, I have worked in translation from English to Afrikaans, and vice versa for as long as I can remember. I assure you that these lessons will be broken up into bite-size chunks and that you won't become overwhelmed - I sure didn't like that, and I wouldn't want that for you!

I have applied the methodology I undertook to learn German to my way of teaching basic Afrikaans. Students who have a good understanding of their mother language can benefit of my lessons, as the cognitive foundation is laid down with at least one language. Lessons will be no longer than 30 minutes to accommodate extra-curricular activities, and oh-so-necessary breaks
