About Helena

I'm a British, CELTA-qualified ESL teacher with experience across a wide range of learning environments - from primary and secondary schools to university prep courses, IELTS, and IGCSE. I love creating fun, interactive, and engaging lessons that help students truly connect with the language. I'm especially motivated by those “light bulb” moments when a concept clicks and confidence grows. My goal is to build a supportive and encouraging space where students feel safe to take risks and thrive. Learning English can open the door to so many opportunities, and I feel privileged to be part of that journey.

About the lesson

I offer personalised and engaging lessons based around the student's needs and interests. Lessons include games, songs and interactive activities as well as academic writing help and test strategies. Lessons are usually 1 hour long with independent learning activities provided to practise afterwards. I'm originally from the UK and CELTA-qualified. I have worked with students from all over the world from beginners to advanced. I have experience teaching primary school and secondary school English, university preparatory classes, ESL, IGCSE and IELTS to adults.
