About Starr
I am a native British English speaker with a strong interest in helping others improve their communication skills. I enjoy breaking down complex ideas into simple, clear explanations and building confidence in learners step by step. I want to teach because I find it rewarding to support people in reaching their goals, whether for study, work, or everyday life, and to make English feel more natural and less intimidating.

My teaching approach is focused on making English clear, practical, and easy to apply in real-life situations. I adapt each lesson to the student’s level and goals, whether that’s improving conversation skills, grammar, pronunciation, or confidence when speaking.
I use a mix of guided conversation, structured exercises, and real-world examples to help learners understand how English is actually used, rather than just memorising rules. I also encourage active speaking throughout the lesson to build fluency and reduce hesitation.
Lessons are typically 1 hour long to allow enough time for learning, practice, and feedback without overwhelming the student.
I am a native British English speaker and have additional experience in IT and networking, including a Cisco certification. While I am early in my tutoring journey, I have practical experience helping others with learning technical concepts and explaining information in a clear, step-by-step way.
These lessons are suitable for beginners and intermediate learners of any age who want to improve their English for everyday communication, study, or work.
