About Yu
Hello! My name is Yu, and I am currently studying at the National University of Singapore. As a native Chinese speaker, I am passionate about sharing my language and culture with others. I want to teach because I believe that learning a language opens doors to new opportunities and helps build connections across cultures. I enjoy helping students gain confidence in their Chinese skills and guiding them step-by-step to reach their goals. Teaching allows me to combine my love for the language with my desire to support others in their learning journey. I look forward to working with you and making learning Chinese both fun and effective!

As a native Chinese speaker and a student at the National University of Singapore, I use an interactive and personalized teaching approach that focuses on developing students’ listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. In class, I incorporate conversation practice, role-playing, and cultural insights to help students use Chinese in real-life contexts. I tailor the lessons according to each student’s needs and pace, ensuring steady progress.
Each lesson typically lasts 60 minutes, providing enough time for practice without causing fatigue.
I have extensive experience teaching online and have tutored students of various ages and proficiency levels, from beginners to intermediate and advanced learners.
My lessons are suitable for students who want to improve their Chinese skills, including school students, university students, and adults aiming to enhance their speaking and writing abilities.
