About Aubrey
Hi, I’m Aubrey, a native Chinese speaker currently studying a Bachelor of Science and Master of Teaching at Australia Deakin University. I attended secondary school at Shelford Girls' Grammar which is now merged with Caulfield Grammar School.
Having lived and studied in both China and Australia, I understand the challenges of learning and communicating in a second language. This experience allows me to explain Chinese in a clear and approachable way while being sensitive to the difficulties students may face.
I am responsible, encouraging, and honest in my teaching. I prepare lessons carefully, listen to each student’s needs, and aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and gradually building confidence in Chinese.

Hi, I’m Aubrey. My lessons are friendly, flexible, and tailored to each student’s goals. I use a combination of conversation practice, clear grammar explanations, pronunciation correction, vocabulary building, reading, and cultural examples to make Chinese easier to understand and use in real life.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, although the length can be adjusted depending on the student’s needs. I'm a native Chinese speaker and an education student who is also interested in biology and math. I understand the importance of patience, encouragement, and adapting teaching methods to different learners.
My lessons are suitable for children, teenagers, and adults at all levels, including complete beginners, school students, travelers, and learners who want to improve their speaking, listening, reading, writing, or overall confidence in Chinese.
