About Ya Ping
I am a recent graduate of Monash University majoring design. I have been tutoring Mandarin for 3 months and my student seems really happy with what I have offered. As a designer at heart, I love to create supporting materials that align with the student's need. I have even invented a board game for my students to practice their vocabulary!

My lessons are designed for beginners who want to be able to have some basic conversation in Chinese in their daily lives. All lessons are customised to suit every student's needs. A basic conversational lesson consists of a themed dialogue, vocabulary and syntax practice.
I try to make each lesson as relatable as possible. If you work in retail, we will certainly touch on the art of selling stuff to Chinese customers. If you like Chinese food, one of our first three lessons will be definitely about dining in a Chinese restaurant. If it's February, you'll learn how to deal with Chinese relatives during Lunar New Year.
