About Qidong
I am a native Mandarin speaker who enjoys helping others learn the language in a clear and practical way. My lessons focus on real communication, correct pronunciation, and understanding how Mandarin is actually spoken. I may not come from a traditional academic background, but I am patient, well-prepared, and serious about teaching. I tailor each lesson to the student’s level and goals, and I make sure every class is structured, supportive, and effective.

My tutoring approach is practical and student-focused. I help students actually use Mandarin instead of just memorizing words. Lessons focus on speaking and listening, with reading and writing added as needed. I adjust my pace and teaching style to match each student’s goals and learning style.
A typical lesson starts with a quick review, then we introduce new vocabulary or grammar in context. We practice through conversation, role-play, or simple exercises, and end with feedback and tips for practice.
What sets me apart is my patience and flexibility. I explain things clearly, break down tricky points, and make lessons comfortable and encouraging. I tailor each lesson whether you’re learning Mandarin for school, work, travel, or personal interest.
My lessons are for beginner to intermediate learners, including students, professionals, and adults looking to build confidence in speaking Mandarin.
