About YANING
Hi, my name is Yaning. I am a native Chinese speaker, born and raised in China, and I have been living in Australia for over 12 years. I hold a Bachelor of Nursing and work as a Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) in an ICU. My background in healthcare has strengthened my communication skills, patience, and ability to explain complex concepts clearly—qualities that I apply in my tutoring sessions. Despite my career in nursing, I have a strong passion for teaching and helping others learn Mandarin. I understand the challenges of learning a new language and can tailor my teaching methods to suit each student’s needs, whether they are beginners or advanced learners. In addition to language skills, I also offer cultural insights, helping students understand Chinese traditions, etiquette, and daily expressions. My experience living in both China and Australia allows me to bridge the gap between the two cultures, making learning more relevant and engaging.
