About Aisling

Hi! My name is Aisling and I am 23 years old. Learning a new language can be daunting and finding the right person to help you can be even more so. While I was in Secondary School I was receiving 1 to 1 grinds online and can appreciate and understand the emotions that come along with entrusting somebody to guide you in the right direction. I am a newly certified TEFL teacher from TEFL Institute Ireland where I had been learning to teach English. I have been volunteering with young girls aged between 5 and 10 for almost 10 years which includes: - fostering a safe environment - maintaining a healthy balance - teaching children different life skills in many different areas I aim to create a calm, professional but fun environment where learners can be themselves and enjoy the process of learning and studying. I am very passionate about helping others, inspiring and creating a calm environment with the least amount of stress possible.

About the lesson

My lessons are for anybody who feels like they need that extra push in English to either pass an exam or to help integrate into an English-speaking society. I like to plan my lessons based on what the learner feels like they struggle with and implementing exercises along the way that I feel would also benefit the learner.

I tailor activities towards students' needs. I keep a very informal meeting as to generate and maintain a stress free environment for students. I tend to ask at the beginning of our meetings which areas students may require help in and establish what their goals are and what level of education they are currently studying.

I believe that repetition is key to learning, and therefore will circle back to topics we previously covered while implementing newer topics as we go.
