About Chris

Hello! I’m starting a Master’s degree in Finance this September, and I have a strong interest in communication and helping others develop their English skills. As a native English speaker, I enjoy supporting learners in building confidence through relaxed, friendly conversation. Although I’m new to formal tutoring, I’m a clear communicator, a good listener, and always patient. I lived in Asia and am now learning French and so understand how challenging it can be to express yourself in a second language, and I aim to create a supportive space where you can practise speaking freely and improve at your own pace. I take my work seriously, approach each session with professionalism, and genuinely want to help you achieve your goals - whether you're preparing for study, work, travel, or everyday conversations in English.

About the lesson

In my English conversation practice sessions, I focus on creating a relaxed, comfortable environment where you can feel free to speak without fear of mistakes. My aim is to help you build confidence in real-life conversations, whether you’re preparing for an interview, travelling, or simply want to improve your fluency. I tailor each session based on your needs. For example: - We can focus on vocabulary and expressions related to topics that interest you, like travel, current events, or university life. - I encourage natural conversations to help you think and respond quickly in English, just like a native speaker would. - I also give gentle corrections on pronunciation, grammar, and phrasing to improve your clarity without disrupting the flow of the conversation. I’m a UK university student who has been helping international students with their English for the past year. I’ve worked with people from all around the world, and I understand the challenges you may face while learning a new language. I’m patient, supportive, and aim to make each lesson enjoyable and productive. These lessons are perfect for students, professionals, or anyone who wants to improve their English speaking skills. Whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or advanced learner, I’ll make sure the lessons are tailored to your level and goals.
