About Andie

Hello!

My name is Andie. I have been an ESL tutor for 6+ years with a broad student range. This has helped me learn various ways to adapt to different methods that will effectively help each learner.

I began based in North America, but as I am also a volunteer teacher, I ended up broadening my horizon and moving abroad to Europe in 2016. I spent 4 years there until 2020.

As I was abroad I taught online as an ESL teacher for students K-12 as well as adult based classes.

I became certified as a TESOL teacher and went on further to obtain my Bachelor's Degree in Methods and Principles of Language.

I enjoy time getting to know others and their backgrounds, spending time with my family, and spending time outside helping myself remember the simple things in life.

I believe when you really step away from comparison of others, you will grow to reach your goals much faster. Of course, from experience of learning a second language as well. Everyone has different strengths. With our classes, I hope you can feel the confidence from no comparisons to others. We will only ever focus on what your strengths are, and access what can help you improve in practical ways.

I would like to introduce what lessons with me can consist of.

First, I love to start a conversation where we can speak a bit about ourselves, you can express your learning desires, and we can access where to start based off of your personal language level skills.

I desire for there to be comfortable environments for lessons where you feel comfortable to speak freely and ask any questions.

Keep in mind for everyone learning a second language, it is best not to compare your skills with others to improve.

I will strive each lesson to give you areas you are doing great as well as how we can help you personally achieve your goals with reasonableness.
