About Anastasiia
Hi there! I'm a native English speaker with over five years of tutoring experience and a genuine passion for helping people unlock their full potential in the language.
My background is a little different from your typical tutor. I studied and built my career in the United States, working in the corporate world in a business setting — which means my English isn't just textbook knowledge. It spans professional communication, academic writing, casual conversation, and everything in between. I've also worked as an English instructor at a summer camp for young adults, so I'm comfortable working with a wide range of learners and energy levels.
I'm also fluent in Russian, which means I genuinely understand what it's like to learn a language from the inside — the frustration, the breakthroughs, and everything in between. I don't just teach English; I actively learn it every single day, just like you do. I follow the news, keep up with trends, watch current media, and pay close attention to how the language actually lives and evolves in the real world. What I teach is relevant, current, and practical — not dusty grammar rules from a 1990s textbook.
I take my craft seriously, too. I regularly study other tutors and teaching methods to sharpen my own approach, because I believe a good teacher never stops being a student.
Outside the classroom, I'm a passionate traveler who finds inspiration in every new culture and conversation. I share my home with the best co-worker imaginable — a golden doodle named Grisha, who occasionally supervises our online sessions. Teaching genuinely lights me up, and I think you'll feel that energy from our very first lesson.

My approach:
I tailor every lesson to you, your level, your goals, and your personality. We build a strong foundation with grammar and core rules, but I always mix in fun, real-life content like TV, memes, and everyday conversations so what you learn feels natural and actually useful.
What lessons look like:
Each lesson has a clear theme with vocabulary and real-life examples. For casual English we use shows, social media, and videos of your interest that are relevant to our learning theme.
For professional English we use interviews, business language, and LinkedIn-style communication examples.
You don’t just learn, you see exactly how to use English in real life.

I’m very friendly and easy to talk to, and I make sure you feel comfortable from the start
