About Patti

The most important things to know about me is that I have traveled to and lived in many countries throughout my life. I thrive on living in other places and learning about the culture and getting to know the people of the land. I know how intimidating and sometimes embarrassing it is to learn a new language, because I have had that experience many times in my life. The most important thing I want to impart to you is that I will not judge you for your mistakes. My goal is to empower you to learn to the best of your abilities.

About the lesson

I have fourteen years of experience teaching professionals, university students, and children in Oaxaca, México. Some of my specialties are teaching geologists, chemical engineers, doctors, biologists, and more. I am passionate about teaching and love doing it. I have taught conversation, reading comprehension, basic writing, grammar, TOEFL, and more from beginners to advanced students. I would be thrilled to teach you, also. My approach to teaching is to be sure that you know the basics of grammar. I also like to use videos to help with listening comprehension. From the first day we will speak in English and build vocabulary with each class. Usually, if you are a beginning student and apply yourself, you will be able to carry on a basic conversation within a month. If you are a more advanced learner, I can help you to refine and build upon what you already know.
