About Amelia
I am a recent university graduate. In university, I mentored and tutored ESL students often. I have been an online English conversation tutor for several months, helping native Japanese speakers perfect their English. Several of my students have recently improved their scores on their TOELF and TOEIC exams! I speak a little Japanese and I have the most experience teaching people who speak Japanese natively, but I am happy to help students all over the world!

I teach through conversation immersion to help improve speaking and listening comprehension.
I use one of two different approaches, depending on the needs of the student. I can begin each lesson with a topic of conversation, which we will both discuss during the lesson, and I can help with vocabulary, pronunciation, and grammar clarification. However, if the student would like to prepare, then I can give the topic for the lesson at the end of the previous lesson, so they research vocabulary to prepare for our conversation!
