About Erin
I am a high school graduate who just came back from Cambodia after a summer of teaching English and communicating with non-native English speakers on a daily basis. I have experience teaching English as a second language both personally and in a classroom setting with varied levels of learning--from completely unaware of the English language to practically fluent.

My teaching method changes depending on the level of english-awareness that a student possesses. Generally, we will start a little below what the student already knows of the English language--reinforcing a firm foundation from which we will build more advanced skills of literacy and competency of the English language. For example, if a student is just beginning to learn the English language, we will go over the alphabet--learning the letter's names and phonetics--and progress onto concrete then abstract vocabulary--aided by pictures--followed by sentence structure, with the possibility of continuing on to paragraph structure and essay formatting.
