About Cole

Hola! My name is Nicole I was raised in Spain by a British mother, I grew up surrounded by different cultures, literature, and a deep appreciation for communication and the world around me. As a native English and Spanish speaker, I’m incredibly grateful for the privilege of speaking two languages and would love to share that with others through meaningful conversation, cultural exchange, and learning that encourages both confidence and a deeper respect for nature and the world we share.

Having taught children of all ages in Korea as well as adult learners, I understand that everyone absorbs information differently and builds confidence in their own way. Coming from a teaching background, I know how to create engaging activity sheets, conversational lessons, and supportive learning environments that feel relaxed rather than intimidating. I especially enjoy helping people discover approaches to learning that feel natural, enjoyable, and genuinely sustainable.

Having lived abroad myself, I also understand the mental block that can come with speaking a new language in everyday life. Because of that, I always aim to create conversations that feel supportive & natural.

About the lesson

My lessons are conversation-led and creativity-driven. Rather than working through dry textbook exercises, we use storytelling as the engine of learning: building characters, describing scenes, retelling film and inventing dialogue. And there's real science behind why this works — as a neuroscience student, I know that language learnt through emotion and narrative consolidates far more strongly in the brain than rote memorisation.
Making mistakes isn't just tolerated here, it's how fluency happens!

Lesson structure & length ->
Lessons typically run 60 minutes, can accommodate shorter time spans.

Who my lessons are for
Everyone! I work with:

- Children (ages 4+) — playful, story-based learning that builds foundations without pressure
- Teenagers — school support, exam preparation, and confidence building
- Adults of all levels — from complete beginners to advanced speakers wanting to polish fluency, pronunciation, or written expression.

Qualifications & experience
I've been teaching for several years — in classrooms in South Korea teaching children of all ages, as well as one-to-one lessons with adult learners online.
Being raised bilingual in Spain by my British mother, I understand first-hand how it feels to live between two languages — including the confidence blocks that come with speaking a foreign language, and how to overcome them.
And as a creative writer myself, I bring a storyteller's toolkit to my lessons: a genuine love of language, an eye for detail, and techniques for expressing ideas vividly and precisely.
