About Hugues

Native French speaker with a Bac+5 Master's degree in Physical Education and Teaching. Before moving to Australia, I worked as a disciplinary supervisor in a French secondary school and coached rugby to teenagers — so I know how to connect with young learners, keep them engaged, and make real progress happen.
I recently arrived in Melbourne after spending time exploring New Zealand, and I'm excited to bring my passion for French language and education to students across Australia.
I bring both academic rigor and genuine warmth to every lesson — whether you're a complete beginner or preparing for a high-stakes exam.

About the lesson

I offer personalized French lessons online via Zoom for all levels, from complete beginners through to advanced C1/C2.
Whether you're a VCE student preparing for your French exam, a professional needing French for work, or an adult who simply wants to speak more confidently — I tailor every lesson to your specific goals.
I specialize in:

VCE French — oral, writing, listening and reading preparation
DELF/DALF exam preparation (all levels A1 to C2)
Conversation practice for adults and professionals
Grammar foundations for beginners starting from zero
How lessons work:

- 100% online via Zoom
- flexible scheduling around your week
First session we assess your level and set clear goals together

- Lessons are structured but relaxed- progress comes faster when you enjoy it
- Homework and resources provided after each session

Hugues was my private French tutor back when I lived in France. He helped me refine my knowledge and corrected me with clear explanations. He is patient, kind and makes students feel comfortable.

I would highly recommend Hugues as your teacher.

Bonne chance!
